First Impressions of S/V High Noon

In 1995, Mike and Karen were living in Seattle and housesitting for the Lewis family while Brian sailed his 65' ketch Amakaya around the world. Their home was on Lake Washington and had a dock for their boat out the back yard of the home. 

This living situation made buying a "fixer-upper" sailboat an option because Brian had a well equipped boat shop on the first floor just 50' from the dock. In September, Mike found an interesting prospect in Port Orchard, WA, called High Noon. It needed work was an understatement:
