Christmas sail to the San Juans

 Mike and Karen sailed up to Rosario for the Christmas holiday to enjoy the ambiance of the historic mansion. The cruise went up on the east side of Puget Sound, through Deception Pass, to Rosario. Then returning on the west side stopped in Port Townsend. 

Engine box and ladder

Mike worked with Dunkin to revise the dining area. The engine box was upgraded with white Formica and two fold-out leafs that created a table under the cockpit. 

Galley remodel

 The galley was just a sink and stove with small cabinets. The area was refurbished with white formica and a green counter area. 

Getting serious with a race team

 The fall of 1996 was our first with the new sails, we had several of High Noon's alumni race team members come and help us with learning how to make the boat go fast. 

Refinishing the stern

 A job we were wanting to do for looks was refinishing the stern. 

New sails!

We used the old sails to learn how to set and to race High Noon. After a summer of blowing out the old stuff we invested in new UK gib and main. This made a huge difference in our sailing experience, and performance!  The new gib: The new main:
