Bringing High Noon home

Mike worked on High Noon through the fall and winter of 1995 to get the deck put back together and engine running well enough to try to motor/sail the boat from Port Orchard back to Lake Washington. He had help from several friends so the boat was ready to launch in February 1996.

Tim Anderson was brave enough to volunteer to run the skiff and outboard across to Seattle solo. Karen and Mike loaded up a pickup truck full of the sail inventory and spare parts, etc. She drove and took the ferry back in time to meet High Noon with Mike and friends sailing into Shilshole after its crossing of Puget Sound.

Then it was through the locks and bridges on Lake Union to Lake Washington. Brian and his dog Rufus met us at the dock for tying up at the new home port at the Lewis family dock.
